Pues arreglado! Gracias, amigo!
1) Quité y probé la cabecera y nada.
2) Quité y probé sin pié y sí, pude usar color de letra y de fondo.
3) Puse y probé con el pie y sin cabecera y no pude usarlos.
4) Mantuve cabecera y quité dos cosas del pie del foro y funcionaba!

Conclusión: quitando el reloj y el calendario vuelve a funcionar.

El problema era esto, que saqué aquí o en skindario. Vaya, vaya...
