pues me he bajado de www.phpbb.com lo que se pedia y tonces lo descomprimo y lo he subido todo a una carpeta llamada phpbb en el espacio web de mi pagina web de aqui mismo y he puesto

estas segura de que tienes el "soporte" mysql activado???

si lo tienes deve ser algun problema en las carpetas que tienes de phpbb. O podria ser del ftp. O subiste un archivo a un directorio equivocado.
