Saludos, tengo el siguiente problema, estoy interesado en poner mi web en google sitemaps y me requieren que ponga un archivo en blanco en mi directorio raiz con un nombre que ellos me dan para verificar que la web me pertenece. Hasta hay todo va bien, creo el archivo pero cuando le doy a verificar web me dan el siguiente mensaje:

Cuando voy a ver más información me dice lo siguiente:

Please modify your web server configuration to return a status of 404 in the header of 404 pages. Note that we do a HEAD request (and not a GET request) when we check for this. Once your web server is configured correctly, try to verify the site again. If your web server is configured this way and you receive this error, click Check Status again and we'll recheck your configuration.

Quisiera saber si esto se debe a una configuración de el servidor de mi@ y si existe alguna forma de solucionar el problema para poder añadir mi web a sitemaps de google.

Pues algo tendras mal... yo acabo de hacer la prueba y lo añade perfectamente.
